Gold Saltā¢ is designed to provide the optimal environment for all goldfish species. The use of Gold Saltā¢ also aids in the prevention of nitrite poisoning. The salt is also well suited for routine aquarium freshwater use. It does not impact pH or provide buffering. For pH control use Gold Bufferā¢. For dechlorination use Gold Basicsā¢. For further goldfish environment enhancement, use Gold Traceā¢ to restore the proper level of trace elements and feed NutriDietĀ® Goldfish Flakes for thriving, healthy goldfish.
Use 18Ā g (1 tablespoon) for each 40Ā L (10 US gallons). Use when setting up an aquarium and when making water changes. To add salt to an established tank, do so gradually. It is best to dissolve the salt in a small amount of freshwater before use. Avoid using salt when replacing evaporated water.
